Do you have demon oppression? Twenty Questions Guide

We are all here.

We are all here.

A life with demon tormentors is not fun. It is torment and oppression, with fear continually. They will try to pass themselves off as good, human, and your friend but nothing is FARTHER from the truth. They have a clear purpose that was taught by Jesus. In the first century, Jesus, the Son of God talked about demons on a number of occasions and here are a few…

“And coming down from Jerusalem, the scribes said, He has Beelzebub; and He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons. And calling them near, He spoke to them in parables, saying, How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house is not able to stand. And if Satan rises upon himself, and has been divided, he is not able to stand, but he has an end. No one, not any, having entered into his house, is able to plunder the vessels of the strong one, unless he first tie up the strong one; and then he will plunder his house. ” (Mark 3:22-27 LITV)

In this teaching Jesus said that demons can not cast out demons, and if they did their kingdom would not stand. Demons have a specific purpose and casting one another out is not it. But they will lie all of the time, in fact they cannot tell the truth. If you see their lips moving they are lying. If your belief system gets compromised through lies you will not know where to turn for freedom. Jesus taught that a thief enters a house to bind the strong man. If he succeeds he will plunder the whole house. If this happens to you, you still have the authority now to defeat him. Look at another teaching by Jesus.

“The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. ” (John 10:10 KJV)

The thief that Jesus is talking about is the devil, the fallen angels, the satan, the accuser of our brothers and sisters, and the evil authorities in your life that work night and day to cause rifts between friends and family members in order to isolate you. Now, look at Jesus’ teaching about the activity and habits of demons.

“But when the unclean spirit goes from a man, he goes through dry places seeking rest and does not find it. Then he says, I will return to my house from which I came out. And coming, he finds it standing empty, swept and decorated. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and entering dwells there. And the last things of that man become worse than the first. So it will be also to this evil generation. ” (Matthew 12:43-45 GNB)

This book will change your life!!!

This book will change your life!!!

When the demon is cast out, it leaves your house, travels the family bloodlines looking for another place to sell its wares, and do wicked things, but if he does not find one he returns. If you have not replaced his empty place with God’s Spirit and new habits, he will come again and bring seven more evil friends with him. Now, you have complete authority over the demons, but you must take action to defeat them. As your heart and mind changes, you will stand free and motivated by new ways of thinking and new ways of living.

How do you know if you have a demon?  If you will answer the following twenty questions with a friend who can help you, it will be clear. If you need help with any demons you discover, I am available for a session and ministry. This list is not exhaustive but it will begin the process. Through the twenty questions that I will put in this post, you will be able to get a real good scope and sequence of the demonic influence in your life.

Twenty Questions that reveal demonic oppression

  1. Have you experienced a time when you felt an eminent destruction, obliteration, annihilation, devastation, demolition, ruin, damage, or intense fear?
  2. Have you ever felt a stomach-ache, knot-in-your-stomach, spiking pain of terror?
  3. Have you experienced bouts with the ache and or sting of self-imposed introspection?
  4. Have you experienced an abrupt change in your personality after the death of a relative?
  5. Do you experience dark thoughts of emptiness and a mysterious paranoia?
  6. Are you experiencing consuming thoughts that push you to gratify the desires in your body?
  7. Are you experiencing pesky feelings that focus your thoughts toward destructive activities, just to prove that you are invincible?
  8. Do you have addictive habits toward immoral behavior?
  9. Are you experiencing a strong pull or a compulsive energy pushing you toward specific behaviors?
  10. Have you ever felt severely isolated, as if you were being held captive, for long periods of time?

  14. Have you had nightmares where dark beings talk to you and solicit you to make deals with them?
  15. Have you experienced abuse in your childhood and felt helpless, and then felt a surge of energy and power to protect you, and you thought “I wonder where this is coming from?”
  16. Has anyone ever told you about your behavior being confident, powerful, and even intimidating, but you had little to no memory of the event?
  17. Have you ever felt a surge of fantastical and fanatical power that paints you as the hero and everyone else as the benefactors of your dominating influence?
  18. Have you ever experienced a sudden and possible continuing sense of a dirty sexual energy around you and drawing to you others who have the same instincts?
  19. Have you encountered a feeling that is an overwhelming sense of numbness toward emotional experiences and circumstances?
  20. Have you come into contact with a cloud of confusion that makes it hard to focus your thoughts or organize your expression?

And one more for good measure:

  1. Have you ever been alone and felt a creepy sense that someone was checking you out?

I have talked to literally thousands of people who have been delivered from the oppression of demons. Sometimes a demon hides and surfaces only when it suits him, or when he has an advantage. As a demon surrounds you, he will manifest to incite more and more anxiety, fear, and bondage. The end will be either your death or your deliverance. The choice is yours.

Conquering Your Demons

Conquering_Your_Demo_Cover_for_Kindle

NEW BOOK!!! This will help you.

I have never been one to believe that there was a demon behind every tree, and I am still of that persuasion, but there are times when I question the possibility of that belief. I have also heard some of my friends say, “The Devil made me do it!” and knew that they were just laying the blame for their choices at the feet of a demon. I also experienced a time or two when I was tempted to say, “You come out of that demon right now, and quit tormenting it!” I have dealt with many demons and they have all had the same purpose; to steal kill and destroy. They will tempt you and take you, if they can.

There may not be a demon behind every tree, but there was a demon in the Garden of Eden, behind the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, when Eve walked up. In fact he was the first demon. His names include Lucifer, Satan, the Devil, the Enemy, the Serpent, the Great Dragon, and the Accuser of the brethren. Through the prophet Ezekiel, God the Father describes him like this:

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so… Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Ezekiel 28:14-15)

When God made the Angels he made them in the heavens as beings of spirit and light. God refers to them as the sons of God when he spoke to Job.

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind…”Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me if you have such insight. Who determined its dimensions? …Who laid its cornerstone when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:1-7 GW)

As beings of his inception, they were created by him, through him, and for him. Yet he created them to have a choice. Although angels must agree with their creator to exist they were given the ability to choose. How that works I don’t know, but nonetheless, God said Lucifer was perfect from the day he was created until iniquity was found in him.

There are many words to describe how an angel in heaven can enter the sin of iniquity and violence fill his heart; but I don’t have time to discuss that revelation in this book. Jesus said,

You are the children of your father, the Devil …there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he is only doing what is natural to him, because he is a liar and the father of all lies. (John 8:44 GNB)

Therefore, lies are at the root of the spirit of iniquity. As you know, a lie is not always dark and grungy. A lie spins the truth to serve self and self’s ambition.

Lucifer was discontent with his created place as the anointed (he was given an anointing) cherub (he was given a position of purpose) that covered (he was given a place of authority) in the tabernacle in heaven, and he wanted more. What more could he want? He declared his desire to be like the one he saw; to be like God. (Isaiah 14:14) What could be better than being like God and have worshippers? All of his focus was for his own advancement, with no regard for what it would cost the angels or the humans who chose to follow him. It was in this state of ostentatious self elevation that he conceived the slyest lies. When an angel chose to follow Lucifer, he lost his eternal place in heaven and the eternal estate given to him by God.[1]

Lucifer was convinced that the best thing for him was to promote himself to be like God by converting angels into his followers and worshippers. This was a very seductive and enticing scheme that stands at the very core of the sin of iniquity. It was in this state of deception that he conjured lies to convince one-third of the hosts of heaven to follow him.[2] As the statement among humans goes, “The grass is always greener on the other side.” The discounted heart will open the soul of man to Lucifer’s temptations and demonic torment.[3]

The strategy he used with the angels he also used in the Garden of Eden with Eve. And the angels that follow him are still using these same strategies with you today. They can’t twist your arm and make you do anything, but they can talk to you. If you listen, you will hear a lie. Then you will make up your own mind to act. The choice will always be yours and you will be responsible for your action.

Just as you have a guardian angel to watch over and protect you, you will also have familiar (family) spirits; demons that travel blood-lines to visit the sins of the fathers to the third and fourth generation. These demons will not usually look like the comic book portrayals, unless they realize that the monster image will help them terrify you, but they will usually be disguised as beings that want to “help” you get what you want. The truth is, in this world you will have tribulation, but you are made to be more than a conqueror. Take the witness of the Son of God, who said,

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.’[4]

The key to the power to conqueror is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus in the New Testament is the fulfillment of Jehovah that was revealed in the Old Testament. When you have a personal relationship with him, you will receive an eternal perspective about the spirit realm and how it works. Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of Hosts will fight hand in hand with you until you live in complete peace and victory.[5] will you learn in this book will give you a strategy to defeat the fallen demonic hordes, behind whatever tree you may find them. Living Life from the Heart

The Power of the Kingdom living life from the heart BookCoverImageThe life of mankind is driven from the heart. You may follow your desires in a moment of weakness from time to time, but the heart, the center of your being and architect of your belief system, will drive the direction of your soul and capture the thoughts of your life. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bring forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”[1]

The hustle and bustle of the people had stirred up quite a dust cloud on the streets of first century Jerusalem. An atmosphere of excitement, almost like electrical energy, moved the people that day because Jesus was in town. No one had ever healed a man who was born blind before, or spoken for God with the power to deliver a man bound by a legion of demons. After his teaching on this day, he fulfilled a 500 year old prophecy out of Isaiah by laying hands on the children and blessing them, when a very rich young ruler came to him, fell on his knees and worshipped him, begging a question. “Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

He was disturbed about his life after death arrangements, and was looking for a way to nail down his eternal reservation. Jesus on the other hand, was anticipating a journey of the heart to the Father. He loved this journey and was excited every time he had the opportunity to take it with someone. The question the young ruler asked was the right question, so Jesus stepped in and said,

Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One, God. You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery, do not commit murder, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.[2]

Then Jesus loved him. He gazed beyond the young man’s eyes and into his heart, and loved him. When you love someone you will tell them the truth from a heart of care and compassion. Of course, telling someone the truth in love does not mean that they will agree with you, but they must be told the truth. The man who was still on his knees looked up at Jesus once again and said, “Teacher I observed these from my youth.”

When Jesus looked into this man he saw all of his secrets; he saw the truth about his heart, he saw the truth about his god, and he saw all of the fear, doubt, and unbelief that terrorized him. He literally knew everything about him. Just because Jesus knew all of his dirt, he did not go around setting off a truth bomb, as an emotional terrorist might do. In this story, he told the truth in love, because he had the young ruler’s best interests at heart.  His goal was not to embarrass him in public and use the power of peer pressure to control him, but give him the answer to his question.

One thing is lacking to you. Go, sell what things you have, and give to the poor. And you will have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me, taking up the cross. But being sad at the Word, he went away grieving; for he had many possessions.[3]

In this public encounter, Jesus spoke with great respect and love. Jesus knew what needed to happen for this rich young ruler’s soul to let go of his idol. Jesus knew the secrets of his heart and wanted him to be free. The subconscious belief system in this rich young ruler’s heart would not let him part with his riches in order to gain eternal life. The rich man was driven from the heart. You are too.

Life is Processed in the Soul

Every time I spin the globe of my personal life experiences, I sneak a quick look at the mountain top experiences that have influenced my present-day, subconscious belief structures. When I put on a set of reading glasses labeled “a belief system formed in the heart by my original sin paradigm and the interpretation of past experiences”; I realize how difficult it is to see my past or present as it really is. As I peer into that globe that contains my life-timeline stretched out event by event, everything is blurry, unless I put on a new perspective and receive God’s revelation of truth.

The rich young man who humbled himself by kneeling down at the feet of Jesus, had a number of these mountain top experiences that positively reinforced that money was more important to him than any other relationship. He had experiences that established his identity with his riches, supported his pride of life commitments, and connected his heart with his ability to multiply his resources. The rich man needed a new belief structure. Even though the love of money is the root of all evil, there are many other beliefs that will yield the same result as the rich man’s bondage. What you focus your soul on will be the power that drives you.

For example, if you believe that all of the authorities in your life are out to get you, you will resist any command and form rebellion in your soul. As a result, you will need a new point of view. If you believe that your friends will betray you, you will be driven to resist them before they can act on your suspicions. Subsequently you will need a new paradigm. If you believe that sales people want to take advantage of you, you will be driven to resist anyone who applies undue pressure to make a decision. Then you will need a new set of glasses to see people clearly. If you believe that God is a rosy smiling fat man who will give you whatever you want, if you will rub his belly just right, you will be driven to please man and worship a god, like Buddha, that caters to your desire for pleasure.

 A Better Way

I am writing this book to open your understanding to the spiritual and physical foundations of God, which will set a confidence in your heart. I understand where you are coming from and how to acquire the confidence of truth. Although I had lived in a successful pastoral career for approximately 35 years, I survived most of my life with a deep sense of fear and anxiety, anger and frustration, helplessness and hopelessness, and a psyche that was riddled with the fear of failure and rejection. I believed that when people got to know me, they would not accept me.

These torments were not the sum of my experiences, but this mindset had furrowed deep grooves into my belief system. I lived in a place where I believed God’s truth, but I did not accept that truth personally. I proclaimed the truth of God’s word, but did not believe I deserved the promises to be fulfilled in my life. God’s truth was good for everyone except me. God’s grace has been truly amazing as I have worked through the spiritual and emotional condition that the Apostle Paul would identify as,

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof….[9]

This condition caused me to care for people tirelessly but question God’s love. For hours before the weekly ministry meetings, I experienced fear and dread, and after these responsibilities were complete, I sensed accomplishment but felt an undercurrent of frustration and fear that questioned the value of my service. You might call this self evaluation but I call it torment.

I have met many people, just like me, who looked calm on the surface, but had a storm brewing in their eyes. Most of us believe what we think, as if our thoughts and opinions can hold the sum of our heart-felt conviction. But the eternal God knows what drives you. Therefore, he has made the creation to respond to what you believe not what you think. What you believe and compels you to act begins in the soul. Do you know what drives you? Do you know who you are? Do you know what you believe? Do you know how the actions and reactions of your life reveal what your heart believes? And do you know how to establish the mind of Christ and enter into the secrets of God’s kingdom?

God does give you a process for cleansing the soul, purifying the conscience, and transforming your mind in James 4:6-8. I call this the kingdom circle, and I will unfold this process of change and repentance later.

 A Storm in the Soul

One day a lady came in for help. She was working through some very strong performance issues, which drove her to outperform everyone. She was pushing herself beyond normal limits at work, even though her boss was not leveraging her for more production. She thought these often unrealistic expectations were coming from her desire to succeed. Her driven Type A personality was causing some very serious marital and parental problems at home. No one could measure up to her expectations. She was so driven, that she could not see herself having the strength to sustain the same level of performance into her twilight years.

After an introduction to the SozoLife process, we began working through the issue at hand. I said to her, “When you are experiencing an issue in your present-day life, you can be confident that the issue is fruit on a tree, and where there is fruit there is also a root.” After we welcomed the Spirit of truth[12] in prayer I said, “Will you close your eyes and repeat this prayer phrase by phrase after me out loud please?”

She said, “Yes.”

I began with, “Holy Spirit of truth, will you please show me where this drive to perform is coming from?” We waited for Holy Spirit to answer. He says, “Ask and it shall be given you.”[13]

She felt a small constriction around her shoulders and sensed darkness all around her. At the beginning it was a little unsettling for her. “I don’t understand what is happening and why I am only seeing darkness.”

I spoke very calmly, “let’s assume nothing for the moment. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit another question: “Holy Spirit of truth, do you want to show me where I am and how this experience relates to the issue in me?”

She said, “Oh… I sense that I am in my mother’s womb. Now…I am hearing a conversation between my mother and father. I think they are in the kitchen, eating supper. My mother had just found out that she was pregnant with me.” She could sense the apprehension in her mother’s voice.

“I am pregnant.” Her mother said. The words fell as if her father was not listening. A moment of silence seemed like a month as she began to feel the tension that was in her mother’s voice. Then she heard her father.

“I thought you were on the pill.”

“I was, but one got through.” She could feel the tension inside her begin to grow exponentially. She began to feel an uncertainty about her future. Her father spoke again with an edge of sarcasm.

“I don’t know if we can afford to have a baby right now. This is going to put so much pressure on us financially. I may have to go out and get another job.”

“What are you saying…?” her mom said. The discussion escalated. Then she heard her father offer another solution.

“Or… maybe you should go out and get a job. I don’t know if I can bring in enough.”

As she was hearing her father and mother’s discussion, her soul was processing even as an unborn child. The Holy Spirit opened up the memory and process of this experience. When God releases your soul, it does not have to grow up. You were chosen in Christ before the foundations of the world.[14] She was hearing, sensing, and feeling in the present, through the Holy Spirit, a deep sense of frustration coming up in her heart.[15]

I responded to the facial changes with this question. “What are you feeling? If the feelings coming up from deep inside you could speak what would they say?”

We sat for a few moments so that she could find the words to describe what these intense feelings would say. “I am hurt and rejected because my father does not want me. I am angry. I cannot trust him.”

There was such a mix of emotions and anxious rumbling that it shook her to the very core. She interpreted her father’s words as saying, “I do not want this child. It is going to cost me too much. It is going to be a burden.” Then she felt a surge of power within her that communicated a very overwhelming and defensive sense of defiance that she communicated to me with these words.

“I will have to show him that I am worthy of life. I will have to prove that my life has value and that I have a right to live”

This was her private interpretation of this conversation. Her parents would not have wanted their child to live under this kind of pressure; if they would have known what was happening to her. Furthermore, her parents were not responsible for her decision. She made a decision in her heart, and then made a personal vow that she would prove her value and substantiate her right to live.

She was active in the womb. Even before she was born she was discontented with the status quo and had “busyness” about her personality. Her parents said she had been a high level performer all of her life. Although her soul did not consciously remember either her parent’s conversation, or making the vows that have been driving her, the fruit of her decision could be seen clearly. She lived to prove her right to live.

Only God knows the places that you go in your heart that drive your decisions.

When the root is revealed, confessions in prayer and proclamation are required to reset the foundations of the belief system, and bring them into agreement with God and his Word.

The next step in the ministry to this woman was to work through The Kingdom Circle (we will reveal later); confess the sin of idolatry: the self-god syndrome that declared her own power to change the perception of her worth and value. Then dismantle the self-made belief system that brought her into agreement with, “I will prove that I have value and that I have a right to live.” And then establish God’s belief system.

 A Deep Groove

Only God knows the places that you go in your heart that drive your decisions. He alone knows how to bring the course required for unlocking the truth. Your eternal Father enters your life every day. You will never be outside of his love. He created the soul for an eternal purpose.

The promise of divine help was foreign to her. The divine connection between the soul, the body, and the spirit that brings the light of God’s wisdom into your heart, is usually activated when you come to the end of yourself and ask for God’s help. The spirit of the world, on the other hand, will give the credit for God-given design and purpose to other instinctual programming.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.[16]

The spirit of the world is the spirit that this lady agreed with in her mother’s womb. But this was revealed to her through the Holy Spirit of truth. The Apostle Paul, who walked with God in the first century, revealed this almost two-thousand years ago when he said:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.[17]

The foundation for your belief system must be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Your beginning paradigm that was downloaded at conception, along with the development of your inner-man continues to be shaped by your choices. The consequence of wrong choices will weigh heavy on your psyche, hinder your warm and loving relationships, and can all but annihilate any loving and intimate relationship with God.

Judgment in the Heart

Her belief system was set before she was born. The proof of value will come from her performance. She would be her own personal judge. She alone would evaluate the worth of her life. She judged her father as a selfish and inconsiderate man, who wanted her to prove her worth. He never said that, but she interpreted his words and actions as an aphorism. This groove in her soul was so deep that only the Spirit of truth could reveal the lies, judgments, vows, and value system that had been used by the enemy to torment her and her family.

One of her lies was wrapped around her definition of value. In her heart, her father’s compliment for a job well done was not connected to his love for her, but to the value she needed to prove her right to exist.

I said, “Will you please repeat these confessions and proclamations after me phrase-by-phrase and word-for-word? And as you confess, let your heart come into agreement with God’s word?”

Breakthrough

The tears began to flow as she responded with a sigh of relief. ”Yes, I would love to…!” and she turned her life over to God’s design and power.

“Now, repeat this prayer after me phrase-by-phrase from your heart, ‘Lord God, in Jesus name, I confess the sin of Idolatry… I confess the sin of breaking the first three commandments, when I made this vow, ‘I will prove my value and prove that I have a right to live…’ I break agreement with these words and command them to fall to the ground right now in Jesus name… I break agreement with a lie that says, ‘My value is established in my performance …and I come into agreement with the truth that says, ‘My value is set in my creator’s love for me and by him giving his own son Jesus to redeem me.’ (Romans 5:8) ‘I agree that I could do nothing to earn this, but I can only receive as a gift what my eternal Father has given me.’ (John 3:16) ‘Lord God, will you please bring the eternal blood of Jesus and cleanse my body soul and spirit from each of these sins and each of the sins that I chose through my life because I believed these lies? (1 John 1:7) Lord God, I confess that you alone the God of my life and heart. (Philippians 2:11) I bow before you as the only Lord of my life, (Romans 14:11) in Jesus’ name.’” I paused to give her some time to process, and then I asked her.

“How does that feel?”

She responded cautiously but decisively, as if she was walking into a new territory that she had not traveled before. “I feel like a thousand pounds has been lifted off of my neck…”

I said, “Praise the Lord, but we are not done yet. Will you continue with me?”

“Ok…sure.”

Then we continued with the following repeat after me prayers and confessions. “I break agreement with a lie that says, ‘I have to prove that I have a right to live…’ and I come into agreement with the truth that says, ‘My eternal father chose me in Christ before the foundations of the world…’ (Ephesians 1:4) ‘My Father chose me before the foundations of the world…’ say the truth again, ‘I am chosen and therefore have a right to live because he sent me here.’ (Acts 17:26-28) (I left the scripture references in because it adds the authority of God’s word.)

Then I said, “Now, how does that settle into your heart?”

Her reply communicated a lighter tone. “It’s like… I can still feel stuff breaking off of me… almost like it is coming off in layers. Can we keep going?”

“Hey… that’s what I am supposed to say.” We laughed and kept our focus in this vein of repentance and confession as Holy Spirit led the restoring of her foundations into truth.

“Ok, let’s go here now… can you be there where you were hearing your parent’s conversation?”

A few moments passed and she said, “I’m there.”

Now confess this and release this to your parents, “Dad and mom, I forgive you for causing me to believe that you did not want me. I forgive you for questioning the value of my life. I forgive you for not speaking treasured thoughts about me from my conception. I forgive you for not valuing me as a gift from God. And Lord, I repent for judging my parents as not wanting me. And I speak blessings on them right now in Jesus name.”

There were other issues that we dealt with in this ministry time, but the root of this issue came from the choice she made in her soul, before she was born. This speaks to either a genetic memory and\or an eternal soul that is aware and already stamped with a paradigm at conception. The older we are when the Lord reveals truth to us, the deeper the influence of this belief system will have on our present day attitude and action.

For this lady, as you can imagine, there were also complications in the relationship with her father. The father establishes your identity, inclusion and inheritance. But she had set her identity in her ability to prove her value and validation. Every time she was complimented she felt vindicated in her right to exist, which caused her to work even harder. When she was corrected, her value in performance took a hit and she was broken. But this also compelled her to work harder. This was unusually frustrating because she was feeling attacked if she did perform and attacked if she didn’t perform. She could not win. What she needed was transformation… to know the truth and the truth to set her free.

A Strong Foundation

The ministry of the Spirit through the heart is the way to a rewarding relationship with God. The Spirit of God meets you where you are and walks with you into the power of a redeemed life. A SozoLife session helps the soul process the events of life through focused prayer and spiritual guidance.

I have designed this book to focus on the foundations required to build your heart in God’s kingdom. As you focus your heart on the power of his word, and walk in the wisdom of his glory, you will become confident. This will give you the power to live life from the heart. A relationship with the Father – Elohim, Jesus – Yeshua, and Ruach – the Spirit of Christ will serve as the channel for a solid foundation. Jesus is the prince of peace and he gives that peace to you. As you make the choice to live your life in God’s Spirit and nature that you receive from him, you will walk out of the dark into his marvelous light.

A Sozolife Testimony

GOD CAN HEAL EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR PERSONALITY

One day a lady came in for a Sozo. She was working through some very strong performance issues, which drove her to outperform everyone at work, at church, and even put her in competition with herself. She was pushing herself beyond normal limits at work, even though her boss was not leveraging her for more production.

She thought these often unrealistic expectations were coming from her driven Type A personality. But her desire to succeed was causing some very serious marital and parental problems at home. No one could measure up to her level of performance and her unrealistic demands. She was so driven, that when she came for help she admitted that she could not see herself having the strength to sustain the same level of performance indefinitely. So, she was serious about being in a place for help.

I spent a few minutes introducing her to the Sozolife process and activating the eyes of her heart. Then we prayed together and started. Since she was a no nonsense type A personality, we stepped right into the process. After she stated her issue in her own words I said, “Can we start with a question for God? I believe he speaks to his children and he will talk to you.”

She responded articulately, “Alright, what should I do?”

I said, “This will be a repeat after me question, and as you speak it let your heart ask the Holy Spirit this question. ‘Holy Spirit of truth, will you please show me where this drive to perform is coming from?’” She repeated the question and we waited for Holy Spirit to answer.

In just a few moments she felt a small constriction around her shoulders and sensed darkness all around her. At first this was a little unsettling. Then we asked another question: “Holy Spirit of truth, do you want to show me where I am and how this experience formed this issue in me?”

She said, “Oh… I am in my mother’s womb. Now I am hearing a conversation between my mother and father. I think they are in the kitchen eating supper.” Her mother had just found out that she was pregnant with her, and she could sense the apprehension in her mother’s voice as she was telling her father.

“I am pregnant.” Then she explained a sense that began to build in her through what seemed like an unusually long period of silence, and then her father responded.

“I thought you were on the pill.”

“I was, but one got through.” She could feel the tension inside her begin to grow exponentially. She began to feel an uncertainty of her future. Then she heard her father.

“I don’t know if we can afford to have a baby right now. This is going to put so much pressure on us financially. I may have to go out and get another job.”

“What are you saying…?” her mom said. The discussion escalated. Then her father offered another solution.

“Or… maybe you should go out and get a job. I don’t know if I can do anymore.”

As she was hearing her father and mother’s discussion, her soul was processing even as an unborn child. The Holy Spirit opened up the process and the experience of this memory. When God gives the soul, it does not have to grow up. Although she was not able to process this consciously and intellectually, she was hearing, sensing, and feeling in the present, through the Holy Spirit, a deep sense of frustration coming up in her heart.

She interpreted her father words as saying, “I do not want this child. It is going to cost me too much. It is going to be a burden.” Then she felt a surge of power within her that communicated a very overwhelming and defensive sense of defiance that she communicated to me with these words.

“I will have to show him that I am worthy of life. I will have to prove that my life has value and that I have a right to live.” This was her private interpretation of this conversation.

Her parents would not have wanted their child to live under this kind of pressure; if they would have known what was happening to her. Furthermore, her parents were not responsible for her decision. She made a decision in her heart, and then made a personal vow that she would prove her value and substantiate her right to live.

She was active in the womb, and even before she was born she was discontented with the status-qua and had “busyness” about her personality. Her parents said she had been a high level performer all of her life.

Although her soul did not consciously remember her parent’s conversation, or consciously remember making these vows, her life experience revealed the results of the decisions and vows. She lived to prove her right to live.

When the root was revealed, confessions in prayer and proclamation were required to reset the foundations of the belief system, and bring them into agreement with God and his Word.

The next step in the ministry to this woman was to confess the sin of idolatry, the self-god syndrome that declared her own power to change the perception of her worth and value. Then dismantle the self-made belief system that brought her into agreement with, “I will prove that I have value and that I have a right live.” This is what this ministry looked like.

I said, “Will you please repeat these confessions and proclamations after me phrase-by-phrase and word-for-word? And as you confess these, will you let your heart come into agreement with God’s word and design?”

The tears began to flow as she responded with a sigh of relief, and began to turn her life over to God’s design and power…”Yes, I would love to…!”

“Now, repeat this prayer after me phrase-by-phrase from your heart, ‘Lord God, in Jesus name, I confess the sin of Idolatry… I confess the sin of breaking the first five commandments, when I made this vow, ‘I will prove my value and prove that I have a right to live…’ I break agreement with these words and command them to fall to the ground right now in Jesus name… I break agreement with a lie that says, ‘My value is established in my performance …and I come into agreement with the truth that says, ‘My value is set in my creator’s love for me and by him giving his own son Jesus to redeem me.’ (Romans 5:8) ‘I agree that I could do nothing to earn this, but I can only receive as a gift what my eternal Father has given me.’ (John 3:16) ‘Lord God, will you please bring the eternal blood of Jesus and cleanse my body soul and spirit from each of these sins and each of the sins that I chose through my life because I believed these lies?

“I break agreement with a lie that says, ‘I have to prove that I have a right to live…’ and I come into agreement with the truth that says, ‘My eternal father chose me in Christ before the foundations of the world…’ (Ephesians 1:4) ‘My Father chose me before the foundations of the world…’ say the truth again, ‘I am chosen and therefore have a right to live because he sent me here.’ (Acts 17:26-28) (I left these scriptures in because I use the references as much as I can because it adds the authority of God’s word.)

Then I said, “Now, how does that settle in your heart?”

“Ok, let’s go here now… can you be there where you were hearing the conversation by your parents…”

A few moments passed and she said, “I am there.”

Now confess this and give this to your parents, “Dad and mom, I forgive you for causing me to believe that you did not want me. I forgive you for questioning the value of my life. I forgive you for not speaking treasured thoughts about me from my conception… ‘And Lord, I repent for judging my parents as not wanting me. And I speak blessings on them right now in Jesus’ name.”

There were other issues that we dealt with in this ministry time, but the root of this issue came from the choice she made in her soul, before she was born. This speaks to either a genetic memory and\or the eternal soul that is aware and already stamped with a paradigm that comes at conception. The older we are when the Lord reveals truth to us, the farther or deeper the influence of this belief system will have on our present day attitude and action.

Her belief system needed to be reset. The proof of value will come from her performance. This was so deep that it took the Holy Spirit coming in to reveal this lie. The lie for her was wrapped around her definition of value. Her father’s compliment for a job well done, in her heart, was not connected to his love for her but to the value she needed to feel to prove the value of her existence.

The promise of divine help was foreign to her. The divine connection between the soul and body, and between the spirit and soul that brings the light of God’s wisdom into our heart is usually activated when we come to the end of ourselves, and we ask God for his help. This shows us that the human, left to self, will give the credit for God-given design to other instinctual programming.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Only God knows the places we go in our hearts that drive our decisions. He alone knows how to convict and bring the truth to us. He created the soul for his eternal purpose. Our eternal Father loves and enters our life every day. We will never be outside of his love.

You are chosen and God has never had a bad thought toward you. He celebrates every day with you as if were your birthday all over again!

Free Book to Walk free of demons

In the last days God says, “My spirit will fall on all flesh.” (Acts 2) Do you think we will see his spirit or just see the results? Like the wind blowing through the trees. You can’t see the wind, but you can see the effects. The following link will be your free book. Let me know what you experience.

Working Through Deliverance With Holy Spirit a workbook

In the imagination and through the soul we engage the realm of the spirit, where the holy
and unholy angels travel. Jesus said that Lucifer was a liar and the Father of lies. This means he cannot tell the truth. When he speaks he lies. This means all of his fallen angels lie as well. They come to steal from you, kill anything they can, and destroy everything in your life. They are not your friend and they will not help you. Even when you think a demon is telling the truth, it will be a lie. Unclean spirits are master liars and act like good accusatory lawyers.

Where we are living contrary to the word of God (in sin and disobedience), they bring
accusation, and work to condemn us before God and others. They will try to take us to law and exercise judgment as a District Attorney. Fear is one of the fastest ways to give a dark spirit or a demon access to your life.

Jehovah Sabaoth is the Lord of Hosts, meaning that He is the master of all hosts in heaven and earth. Hosts of humans, birds, animals, angels, and demons. Every demon must be submitted to him and his word. (Job 1:6; 2 Chronicles 18:18) Therefore, we must stay close to God and exercise faith in his love and grace. Jesus was revealed to destroy all of the works of the enemy. (1 John 3:8) Take a minute and receive perfect love of God that will cast out all fear. (1 Timothy 1:7)

Demons cannot be seen with the natural eye, but the results of their influence can be seen.
Just because you cannot see something doesn’t mean that it cannot affect you. When I go to the beach, the unseen ultra-violet rays burn my lily white skin.

When you think over and over again about the way people have hurt you, or how afraid
you are; you move into a place where your heart resents and even hates the life you were given. Then you have a bitter taste in your mouth for yourself and others. It is fear, rebellion, bitterness, resentment, and sexual sin that open the doors of your heart to a demon spirit’s influence.

A young man came in one day hat had excessive fear about his life, and the life he
thought everyone was trying to take from him. The fear coupled with the unforgiveness opened a door to dark spirits.

These confessions mixed with faith will break each spirit’s power.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of his blood, I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
over all creation, and I submit to him right now. Lord God, I take the authority you have
given me, and by the power of the blood of Jesus, I command any and every unclean
spirit in me to be bound in Jesus’ name and to leave my life now! I renounce any
involvement with them, and any participation with them, and any agreement that I have
ever had with them. Unclean spirit, I do not need you, I do not want you, and I command
you to leave my life now, in Jesus’ name.’ Go now, before the throne of God, and give an
account of yourself, and do not return to me in Jesus name!’

Lord Jesus, I agree with you that I have lived in fear. But from this moment, I renounce
the spirit of fear and I receive a spirit of power love and a sound mind. I choose right
now to receive your perfect love to fill me. I confess any unforgiveness as sin, and I choose to forgive anyone who has ever hurt me. I choose to live in a spirit of forgiveness from this day forward.

Lord Jesus, will you please send the Holy Spirit to fill me, and send your healing light
into my heart, my soul, my body, and my life right now, please? I receive the Spirit of
holiness, the spirit of burning and justice, with power and might, to guard me in all the
places of my heart and soul. Thank you Lord Jesus. I affirm my confidence and faith in
Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross right now in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Are You Accepted or Rejected?

The Power of the Kingdom living life from the heart BookCoverImageHave you ever been rejected? What do you remember about that rejection? Rejection is one of the most powerful experiences that can paralyze your soul. Rejection is choosing to believe the opinion of another person, or group of people, over your own belief about yourself, or over what God believes about you. The truth about you is clearly given in God’s Word. The foundation for a healthy soul or psyche is the living Word of God.

The Living Word of God is the eternal good news. When the Apostle John was in heaven, he saw an angel having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth. Eternal truth transcends time and space, and exists from eternity. A message that began in eternity will be true throughout time and space. As a human, you believe that you can determine truth by the logical evaluation of evidence that is presented before you in the physical realm. Evidence can present fact to you but not necessarily be the truth.

The law of gravity that you experience on earth is what you may call a fact of nature. But when Jesus walked on the water, the truth transcended the law of gravity.

The law of sin and death that you experience is the law in the physical and spiritual realms, and can also be considered a fact of nature. Someone said; you can be sure of two things, death and taxes. This statement contains two facts but is not truth. When Jesus stood before Lazarus’ tomb, the friend of Jesus who died, the truth lifted his voice and said, “Lazarus, come forth!” and Lazarus walked out of his grave.[1] The truth transcends the law of sin and death.

The law of people’s opinion that can weigh heavy on the human psyche and determine whether or not a person feels accepted or rejected, is a law of nature in time and space. But when the truth met the woman caught in the act of adultery, he said, “Where are your accusers…neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”[2] Truth transcends the law of people’s opinion.

Almost two-thousand years ago Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the father except through me.”[3] Jesus said, I am the truth. Therefore truth has a name, and his name is Jesus. As you live, you will experience facts that are not necessarily truth. The circle below, for sake of illustration is eternity. God is eternity, and he created time and space inside himself. God’s truth flows in all and through all.

But all of his work is done in truth[4] and truth came through Jesus Christ,[5] who is the Word of God. He is the matrix of time and space, and the truth throughout the universe. Jesus holds all things together with his word. Therefore, his truth is good news! This is how that truth works for you and me.

The Revelation of Truth

One day a lady came in who was depressed. She described her depression as a dark cloud that felt hopeless and helpless, filled with regret and accusation. This reminded me of the Peanut’s character ‘Pig Pin’ that always had a cloud of dirt that followed him.

As she began to relate the story of her life and all of the circumstances where person after person betrayed and rejected her, I thought to myself; this woman really is rejected and “Lord, what am I going to tell her?”

The scripture says, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”[6] But if she looked only at the evidence of her life, her truth would be “I am rejected!” She had already come to this conclusion, but she had not encountered the Truth that would set her free. I took the time to bring scripture to her, because this was her only hope.

Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in Him, If you continue in My Word, you are truly My disciples. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. They answered Him, We are Abraham’s seed, and we have been in slavery to no one, never! How do You say, You will become free? Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Everyone practicing sin is a slave of sin. But the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains to the age. Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.[7]

The men who Jesus was talking to in this scripture were defending their position, but denying the truth himself. They said we have been in slavery to no one, never! When in truth they were enslaved to the Roman occupation of Israel and the seat of government in Jerusalem. But there was another slave owner that Jesus was talking about. Jesus was talking about the law of sin and death, because they were practicing the sin of unbelief. Their confidence was based in themselves.

As the Lord began to speak to this lady who had come with depression, I sensed a new truth that God was giving her. She needed a new perspective of God, and a new revelation of his power and glory.

I said, “All of the stories you have told me today are evidence that you have received as fact. People have rejected you. Their opinion and actions toward you is rejection, but do you want to be defined by someone else’s opinion? Do you want the enemy, who wants to destroy you, to accuse you and your friends of rejection? Do you want someone who is human, just like you, to tell you whether or not you are accepted? From an earthly point of view you are rejected. But this is not the end of the story, and it is definitely not true. The truth of God is eternal and you need the truth. May I share this truth with you?”

She looked stunned. Then as if jerked out of a dazed hangover said, “Uhhh, Sure… What are you saying?”

I opened my Bible to Ephesians 1:3-6 and read it out loud to her.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.[8]

After I read this passage, I began to list the truths that she needed to believe as truth.

“The experiences that you have been through are telling you that you are rejected. The evidence is overwhelming, but it is a lie. How is it a lie? Because the truth is given to you right here, by the Word of God. First, you are blessed with all of the spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ. Two, you were chosen in Christ before the foundations of the world. Three, you were adopted by Jesus Christ because it pleased him.”

I paused a few seconds, to allow what I was saying to sink in. She shook her head as if she had received something she had never seen before. And it was true. But she was not the only one. I had not received this revelation before this time. But on this day, it went in as truth. It was the revelation of Jesus; the Word of God that lives and abides forever.[9]

I then said, “You are chosen in Christ…” Next I asked, “Do you want to be free and receive the truth?” She responded with a question. “Is this really true?”

I answered with question. “Is God’s word true?”

She said, “Yes.”

I asked another, “Can God lie?”

She said, “No.”

“Will you believe God, or all the people who have treated you with disrespect and dishonor?”

She responded with a new tone in her voice. “I want to believe God!”

“Then will you speak this confession with me, phrase by phrase, out loud please?”

She said, “Yes.”

“Father God, I renounce a lie that says, ‘I am rejected.’ And I choose this day to break the word and actions over my life that has agreed with rejection. I now come into agreement with the truth that says, ‘I am chosen in Christ before the foundations of the world! I agree with God that I am chosen! My eternal Father chose me and loves me.”

“I renounce a lie that says ’other people can tell me who I am.” And I come into the truth that says, ‘I am chosen and adopted by Jesus and he is pleased with his daughter.”

When God reveals a truth that goes this deep and confronts so many lies all at once, I will say the confessions and truths repeatedly. I said to her, “Will you confess them with me again?”

She said, “Yes.” And we confessed these truths three times together. It is always good for your body to hear your voice agree with truth, and it is compounded when the truth you agree with is God’s Word.

Then I explained the eternal gospel. “Since the Word of God is eternal, and the apostle Paul was giving eternal revelation to the Ephesians, he is also giving this eternal revelation to you. You were chosen before God created darkness and said, ‘Let there be light.’ You were chosen before there was a heaven and earth. You were chosen before Adam was created. You had to have an individual entity, to be chosen. And God saw you, chose you, and loved you! He is saying from eternity that you are chosen and accepted. This is an eternal truth, and the eternal gospel – good news. Does this sound like good news to you?”

She began to weep as a light began to shine from her face. There are many truths that are in Christ that will bring the eternal light of God into your body.

Truth Transcends The Universe

The truth is established from the heart of God, not from the circumstances you experience. This is what King Solomon said:

He has made everything beautiful in its time.  Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.[10]

God has known from eternity all His works.[11] When you love Him, agree with Him, and stand on His promises, they will manifest in the natural realm. This is why Jesus said,

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.[12]

Meditating and confessing the eternal Word of God settles your faith and brings confidence to the soul. You had your conscious beginning in flesh, but you are destined for Spirit and life. You are limited by your humanity, but you are designed for a relationship with God. You were created as a son or daughter of God. Eternity only begins in heaven. Heaven is eternal, but heaven is not eternity. Heaven is not the end destination, God is the destination. When you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, your eternal life began, and God is your goal.

True change comes as you come into complete agreement with the person and truth that comes from Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit. As you agree with God and let Him change your heart, your life comes into agreement with Him.

God’s Word is Eternal Truth

There are many truths that live in Jesus Christ the truth, and exist from eternity. These truths will transform your heart and bring you into God’s created design. The transformation that God wants in you is eternal. Take some time to read and assimilate the truth of these scriptures. The news that comes in him and all of the promises that are in him are inherently eternal.

1) “God created me as His Son…” Genesis 1:26

2) “…light affliction…eternal glory…” 2 Corinthians 4:17

3) “The Lamb slain from the…” Revelation 13:8

4) “God determines our life…” Acts 17:26

5) “My God shall supply…” Philippians 4:19

Jesus is Eternal Truth

The eternal truth is the manifested reality of Jesus Christ, who lives and abides forever. This is why truth is more than a principle or teaching. Truth is a person. God put His revelation in the creation, so that you would see him and know Him.

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead.  And He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, ‘Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys to hell and of death.’ [13]

Your righteous testimonies are everlasting and your decrees are binding to eternity.[14]

Jesus is the perfect representation of the Father, and as such, he has been the only one that acted in his Father’s best interest. God is the only being that inhabits and fills eternity. He is the only God that has ultimate power and authority. He is the only king of the universe. He is your only eternal Father and he wants you to trust him.

When the Apostle John was visited by the ascended and transformed Jesus Christ, he fell on his face as a dead man. Then Jesus began to reveal the future to him. The Spirit of truth is still revealing the future to his kids. He is the eternal truth and his power is unrivaled and immeasurable. The only way for you to walk in his power and glory is to receive his divine nature.

The process of transformation in the soul is likened to silver being purified and gold being refined. Both of these processes involve the baptism of fire. The process of flesh transforming into pure eternal spirit is the butterfly effect. After being entombed as a caterpillar in a spun grave, the worm dies and is transformed into a butterfly, another entirely new creation. This transformation is exactly the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Steve on Demons with Youtube Video

One day, a young lady showed up on the steps of our church for help. She said, “I have heard that you deliver people from demons here. Will you help me? I want to be delivered.” I responded with, “Yes, we do deliver people here because Jesus told us to in Matthew 10:8. And yes, I believe we can help you.”

Her first proclamation was good, but there was a detachment between her heart and her mouth that mystified me. Since something did not set right with the team that was ministering to her, we proceeded with an interview. Through a number of questions and the revelation of spiritual discernment, the real motive behind her desire to be delivered surfaced. She was a witch, and wanted us to cast the devils out so she could get more demons. I know it sounds insane. Most people have not experienced the torment of demons. Jesus gave this revelation about demonic activity.

“When an evil spirit goes out of a person, it travels over dry country looking for a place to rest. If it can’t find one, it says to itself, ‘I will go back to my house.’ So it goes back and finds the house empty, clean, and all fixed up. Then it goes out and brings along seven other spirits even worse than itself, and they come and live there. So when it is all over, that person is in worse shape than at the beginning. This is what will happen to the evil people of this day.” (Matthew 12:43-45 GNB)

I have only had a few people who wanted to keep their demons, but this lady wanted more. IF she had gotten her way, at least seven more wicked demons would have come to her and the end of her life would have been worse.

We tried to convince the young lady by telling her what her future would look like. She would not be turned, and we released her without deliverance. But if you want to be delivered the authority of God is available for freedom.

Believe and receive all that Jesus has done for you, take the authority he has given you, and command the demon spirits to go in Jesus’ name. The word of God is the law in the physical and the spiritual realms, and you must deny and defy his law to be tormented by demons.

“And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” (John 20:30-31)

Legally, demons cannot access you at their whim. There are laws that God has set in place to protect you. But just like Adam, if you want to disobey God, the demons will gain access to you, and it will not end well. The strategy of unholy and unclean spirits is to get you to believe a lie, and then motivate you to act in agreement with that lie. The demonic hordes work with lies, deceit, pride, and the curse of Adam’s nature to get you to agree with them. Therefore, when demons show up in your life, as they do in everyone’s life, there is a cause.

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

If a demon is in your life, you made a choice somewhere and somehow to agree with him. It may have been at a point of deep hurt, intense rejection, forceful trauma, extreme fear, severe abuse, the willful act of immoral sin, or a repeated act of rebellion against authority. All of us have made similar decisions, and therefore, most of these demons have been with us for a while.

A Demon Behind Every Tree?

You can minister in Power... learn how.

You can minister in Power… learn how.

I have never been one to believe that there was a demon behind every tree, and I am still of that persuasion. You may have heard the phrase, “The Devil made me do it!” and knew the person who said it was just laying the blame for their choices at a demon’s feet. I have been tempted to say to a person or two, “You come out of that demon right now!”

There may not be a demon behind every tree, but there was a demon in the Garden of Eden at the tree of knowledge of good and evil when Eve walked up. In fact, he was the first demon. His names include Lucifer, Satan, the Devil, the Enemy, the Serpent, the Red Dragon, and the Accuser of the brethren. Through the prophet Ezekiel, God the Father described him like this:

“Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so… Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” (Ezekiel 28:14-15)

When God created the Angels, he made them in the heavens as beings of spirit and light. God refers to the angels as the sons of God when he created the earth in Job 38:7,

“Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. …’Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me if you have such insight. Who determined its dimensions? …Who laid its cornerstone when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?’” (Job 38:1-7 GW)

The glory of God transcends time and space!

The glory of God transcends time and space!

As beings of his inception, they were created by him, through him, and for him. He also created them to have a choice. These are beings who must be in agreement with the word of God to exist, and yet given the ability to choose. How that works I don’t know, but nonetheless, God said Lucifer was perfect until iniquity was found in him. There are many words to describe how an angel in heaven can enter the sin of iniquity, but I do not have time here to go there. Jesus said, “He is a liar and the father of all lies.” Lies are at the root of the spirit of iniquity. As you know, a lie is not always dark and grungy. A lie spins the truth to serve self and self’s ambitions. Lucifer was discontent with his created place as the anointed (he had an anointing) cherub (he had a position of purpose) that covered (he had a position of authority) in the tabernacle in heaven, but he was discontent and wanted more; to be like God (Isaiah 14:14). It was in this state of self promotion that he conceived the slyest lies, for his own good. It was these lies that convinced one-third of the hosts of heaven to follow him. As the statement among humans goes, “The grass is always greener on the other side.” The attitudes of a discontented heart will open the soul of man to Lucifer’s temptations and demonic torment.

The strategy he used with the angels, he also used at the tree of Knowledge of good and evil, with Eve. And the angels that follow him are still using these same strategies today. They can’t twist your arm and make you do anything, but they can talk to you. If you listen, you will hear a lie. Then you will make up your own mind to act. The choice will always be yours and you will be responsible for action you take, in the physical and spiritual realms.

Just as you have a guardian angel to watch over and protect you, you will also have familiar (family) spirits; demons that travel blood-lines to visit the sins of the fathers to the third and fourth generation. These demons will not usually look like the comic book portrayals, unless it will help them terrify you, but will be disguised as beings that want to “help” you get what you want. The truth is, in this world you will have tribulation, but you are made to be more than a conqueror in Jesus Christ.

“I have spoken to you, that in me ye may have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation, but take courage–I have overcome the world.” (John 16:32-33)

The key to the power to conqueror is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is in a relationship with him that you will receive understanding about the spirit realm and how it works. He will fight hand in hand with you, until you live in complete victory. What you learn will give you a strategy to defeat the fallen demonic hordes behind whatever tree you may find them. Blessings and have fun, you are an over comer!

DO YOU HAVE AUTHORITY OVER DEMONS?

The Purpose

This book will change your life!!!

This book will change your life!!!

One day a lady came in with tormented thoughts of depression and suicide. The demons had been oppressing her for years through intimidation and fear. She had not learned or exercised the authority that she had in Christ. Instead, she followed the normal human avenues for health and sanity, seeing a psychiatrist and taking anti-depressants that kept her numb. “This really didn’t help.” She said.

God is the creator of all things and did not make you from pond scum. He made you in his own image. God’s desire as the very first Father was to reproduce after his kind; in his image, according to his likeness, and conferring on his children the authority of his dominion. (Genesis 1:26) Father God gave Adam his own qualities, attributes and characteristics. He imagined a son that would look like him, not someone else. This is why you don’t look like a monkey. Aren’t you glad God loved you enough to make you in his image? Aren’t you glad he is not a duck?

Before God made you, he wrote into the creation’s DNA the recognition of his sons and daughters and the authority he would give them. All of creation will respond to you. This is why bears usually run from men, and snakes run from women. Through these same laws, you were given the authority to deal with the visible and invisible realms and everything that creeps on the earth. This is the first establishment of divine authority given to you through his word.

First Level of Authority

The visible and invisible realms exist together and are authorized by the word of God. God’s word is the law in both realms, because his word holds all of creation together. (Colossians 1:16-17) Therefore, this word spoken by God established your created purpose, and institutes the first level of authority he delegated to you through Adam. God’s spoken declaration of the purpose of man was recorded in Genesis 1:26: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion …over all the earth… and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”

God spoke this purpose before he stepped onto the earth to form man from the dust of the ground. This writing in Genesis was not for his benefit, for he has always known what he was going to do. This scripture was written for your sake. He wants you to know what he established for you. When you know what his purpose is concerning your created design and destiny, you can know his heart and seek him out.

This is what Genesis 1:26, phrased by phrase, established for you. When God said “In our image…” image is a word that means shadow, therefore revealing that he made you to be like him, and possess his heart. When God said, “In his likeness…” likeness is a word that means similitude, therefore showing that He made you to act like him, and model him. When God said, “…let them have dominion…” dominion is a word that means rule – a Hebrew word meaning to crumble off and reform, therefore demonstrating that he made you to rule like him, and administrate his spiritual and physical resources.

You are formed as God’s son or daughter and when you become just like him, you make him a proud papa. This is the foundation of your authority in the creation and this word has never been rescinded. But there were problems in Paradise. Adam and Eve believed and obeyed the word of a demon – that was speaking through a serpent, over the word of God. (Genesis 3) If the demons can cast doubt on God’s word, and get you to believe that His word is not true, you will believe their lies, and they will have you.

There is a mountain of lies in the earth today about God, his Word, angels, demons, spiritual beings, ghosts and the living dead Zombie like “people.” These myths are promoted in novels, by TV shows, and through movies, but these lies are coming from the spirit realm through someone’s darkened and twisted imagination. On the other hand, God will always tell you the truth. He alone is God, and He controls time and space. It is His plan that is being worked out on earth, and he will hold everyone eternally accountable for their choices. The creator always holds power over His creation.  The Apostle Paul, who was educated in the Yale and Harvard of his day wrote this insight under the inspiration of Holy Spirit.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” (Colossians 1:16-17)

The earthly picture would be of a king who establishes his throne through the authority of his word and deeds, and then in the fullness of time transfers all of his authority, power, resources, and the future of his kingdom to his well trained son or daughter.

A New Level of Authority

The second establishment of your authority is based in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. When he gave His life and bled out his perfect blood for you, he paid the ultimate price for your sin and opened the way to save your soul. He destroyed the power of the enemy, took the keys of death hell and the grave into his own hands, and re-established his sovereign authority. The only thing you can do to obtain this authority is believe him (John 1:12). “But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the son’s of God, even to those who believe on his name.” When you choose to place your confidence and faith in Him, your soul joins with eternal power. When you receive Jesus as your personal Savior, you have the same authority he does, because you are standing in him; his person, his love, his family, his work, his resurrection, his authority, and his power. This is the testimony of Jesus Christ that Matthew was writing about “And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, ‘All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Jesus has always had all authority in heaven and earth, but when the first Adam chose sin he submitted the free exercise of his authority over the creation to the prince of the power of the air, Lucifer. Man still has authority over the creation according to the word of God, but his authority was abdicated (willfully walked away from for another opinion), and man would now have to fight to triumph.

Instead of walking with God and freely absorbing all that you need from him, Adam chose (and all the seed of man in his loins) to question the word of God for the power of your own opinion. Basically, instead of knowing the truth from God himself, you have to fight to come to his truth, because your truth; the assumption of truth established through your own perception, evaluation and assimilation of your experiences, feels more right to you.

Since God puts things together with purpose, the angelic and the demonic serve his created purpose and plan. This reality must be a part of your belief system, if you will walk free. For more on this subject, please get my book Conquering My Demons: living in the power of freedom

Authority Revealed

Chains breaking 1

Bondage will be Broken!

When the Lady at the beginning of this article came in, she could not find any physical lasting hope or help.

As God began to open the eyes of her soul, she saw a dark fog-like being surrounding her, with little static lightning bolts sporadically illuminating. She had lost her identity in her childhood, and began to believe that she was the sum of her dark secrets. She had been visited by a demon in a moment of great fear and told that he would protect her. The demon lied, because that is what they do, but she wanted help so she agreed with him; but over the years her identity was eclipsed by this ominous cloud of depression. She believed the depression was her.

After this was revealed I said, “This is good news.”

She said, “Good news? This is not good news, it’s a demon. What do you mean its good news?”

I responded, “Well, all that you have been experiencing, and all of the symptoms you have listed for me are the energies and qualities of this dark cloud around you. This means that it is not you! All of the thoughts of suicide and hopelessness are not you or your thoughts. It is the demon that is manifesting as this ominous cloud.” Then I said, “Do you want to keep this demon and his thoughts?”

She said, “No! Are you kidding?”

Live Life from the Heart

Live Life from the Heart

I reacted with a small chuckle, “I have to ask that question so that your will can engage.” As I began to reveal the authority that Christ had established for her, she was filled with a righteous anger for the years this demon had stolen from her. The process for hearing the voice of God and how to walk confident with Him can be found in my new book, The Power of the Kingdom: Living Life from the Heart.

Authority Activated

At this point, we began to activate the authority of Christ through prayer. Faith coupled with prayer is the most powerful weapon that destroys the work of the enemy. We began to pray something like this:

In the name of Jesus and by the power of his blood, I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord over all creation, and I submit to him right now. Lord God, I take the authority you have given me, the authority of the word of God, and by the power of the blood of Jesus, I command any and every unclean spirit of depression and intimidation, manifesting around me or in me to be bound in Jesus’ name and to leave my life now! I renounce any involvement with it, and any participation with it, and any agreement that I have ever had with it.

Unclean spirit, I do not need you, I do not want you, and I command you to leave my life now, in Jesus’ name.’ Go now, before the throne of God, and give an account of yourself, and do not return to me in Jesus name!’

Lord Jesus, I agree with you that I have lived in fear. But from this moment, I renounce the spirit of fear and I receive a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. I choose right now to receive your perfect love to fill me. I confess any unforgiveness as sin, and I choose to forgive anyone who has ever hurt me.  I choose to live in a spirit of forgiveness from this day forward.

Lord Jesus, will you please send the Holy Spirit to fill me, and send your healing light into my heart, my soul, my body, and my life right now, please? I receive the Spirit of holiness, the spirit of burning and justice, with power and might, to guard me in all the places of my heart and soul. Thank you Lord Jesus. I affirm my confidence and faith in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross right now in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Authority Restored

You have the same authority as your eternal Father, because you are his child.

You can hear God, Learn His language!!

You can hear God, Learn His language!!

She was delivered, stepped into the joy of the Lord, learned the language of the Spirit, and began to walk on a trek with the eternal Father as he re-established her identity in him. When your identity is broken the demons attack and prey on you. Your identity is who you believe you are from the heart, and is very important for your sanity. The Apostle Paul, almost two thousand years ago stated the identity that you have in Jesus Christ in Colossians 1:12-13. “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son…”

This is your identity. God wants you to believe, receive and walk in this authority. When you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you are a son or daughter of God, a saint of light, a partaker of the inheritance, who has been translated from the power of darkness into the kingdom of his dear Son. You have the same authority as your eternal Father, because you are his child. (John 1:12)

God bless you and walk free with POWER!!!

The Purpose of Demons

lionofjudahDemons have been the focus of many Hollywood movies over the years. The Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Angels and Demons, and Constantine with Keanu Reeves, to name a few. You can get a demon from these movies if you want one. All of these movies struck a cord of fear-chill and raked in millions of dollars. In each story line, the demons travel as big, ugly, powerful, and intimidating beings bent on destruction. There are pieces of truth mixed with massive amounts of supposition in these stories, but who would be watching a movie for the truth anyway, right? But most people do not study the scripture to discover the truth about demons, so they make up their own mix of demonology from books, stories, movies, and any personal experience they may have.

You will have spiritual beings that come around you from time to time. Some have a right to stay and some will have to go; depending on your activity. One day I was talking to a friend. He said, “Some people think there is a demon behind every bush.” Now my response would be, “I don’t think there is a demon behind every bush, but if there is a person behind that bush, there will most likely be a demon there trying to intimidate, oppress, condemn, depress, accuse, over power, and stir up as much trouble as possible.”

In more than thirty years of ministry and counseling, I am talking to more and more people who are witnessing angelic activity, reporting demonic torment, entertaining more dreams and visions and encountering spiritual experiences. It is as if the veil that exists between the physical and Spiritual realms is thinner. What’s more, the paradigm in the western mindset for the invisible world is breaking through the ominous cloud of intellectual criticism. Many are experiencing very powerful breakthroughs. Angelic activity is increasing in the earth as the end of days approaches and God tests the hearts of all men on the earth. But the reality of the soul’s trouble, stinking thinking, and psyche torment can not be over looked. When Lot, Abraham’s nephew lived in Sodom and Gomorrah, the Bible says that he vexed his righteous soul daily. (2 Peter 2:7-8) The evil activities of the inhabitants of that nation frustrated Lot’s psyche. It was not Lot’s sin, but the sin in his culture.

Torment in Society

There are many experiences happening in our society today that require an explanation that intellectualism and scientific study cannot answer. For example, when the bomb exploded at the Boston Marathon in 2013, the nation was dazed with the actions of two brothers who shared a religious belief system that told them to kill Americans, and if they died in honor of Mohammad and the Koran, they would be a martyr. There is no intellectual answer or scientific explanation for this irrational and immoral behavior. Our society is creating a massive spiritual void in the hearts of its people by trying to establish itself as a non-spiritual nation. As a result, there is a rising tide of spiritual hunger, spiritual awareness, and spiritual power that is working its way as yeast through the lump of dough we call humanity.

The souls of men and women are being activated. Spiritual forces are aligning. The darkness that encompasses the earth is growing darker. The glory on the children of God is glowing brighter. (Isaiah 60) The word of God is being fulfilled. The book of Revelation is walking off of the page into current events.  The sons of God and the forces of darkness are coming to maturity as the end of day’s battles approach.

However, for the actions of the two brothers in Boston there is a spiritual answer. A demonic force called a spirit of anti-Christ. (1 John 4:2-6) This demon hates anyone who loves Christ; the anointed one, and drives legally motivated people to kill anyone who breaks their law. True love experienced through the forgiveness of sin is the only antidote.  Jesus came that you might have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) The enemy (Satan) comes to steal kill and destroy. If this is Satan’s mode of operations, then who was behind the scene driving the bombing in Boston? Who then is Allah aligned with? The radicalization of American citizens is happening as they read the Koran, attend their Mosques, live in their families, and as it is approved by their Imams (preachers).

People find purpose when they give their life for a heart-felt conviction, even if that conviction is misguided and destructive. But when a man or woman believes they are fulfilling the will of God, they will give their lives unto death. All who would be called gods are looking for this kind of commitment. Never in scripture will you find God telling his people to kill themselves. This is of demonic origin. If you want to be free from the torment of demons, you can be. The purpose of demons is revealed in the first book in the Bible. (Genesis 3)

The Demon’s Purpose

In the Garden of Eden, Lucifer the first demon appears and tempts Eve as she is admiring the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. His strategy was deception, choice and betrayal. With his words, he wanted to cause Eve to doubt the goodness of God (deception), get her to make a choice to eat the forbidden fruit (choice), and connive words that would motivate her to betray her God and self. He could not physically twist her arm and force her to eat. He could only talk to her and get her to believe that she deserved the wisdom of the forbidden tree, and then provoke her to take it for herself. Make this mental note: every door to an act of sin and demonic entrance will be opened by a person that believes a lie. With Adam’s decision to eat the fruit in disobedience to God’s command, the curse of death infected the entire creation. This was the demon’s goal.

God’s Curse Reveals Purpose

God’s curse of the serpent holds the key to the purpose of demons.

This is the curse that God spoke for the serpent: “And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life: And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel .” (Genesis 3:14-15 NKJV)

The serpent was used by Lucifer in the Garden of Eden, and was cursed in the physical and spiritual realm for his part. God’s curse for the cunning physical serpent was also applicable for the demon spirit serpent, as Lucifer was functioning in the physical and spiritual realm at the same time. When God says something, it becomes the law in the physical and spiritual realms simultaneously.

The first part of this curse is “Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field…”  Lucifer could not tempt Eve without the body of a snake to work through. Therefore, the serpent was cursed for allowing Lucifer to use his body. There is a curse that comes on anything or anyone who lets a demon use them to tempt another human. Demons are motivated to destroy you because they want to cause as much havoc as possible on every human that carries the image of God.

The second part of the curse is “…upon your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life…”  Now a once proud and shrewd being that walked around erect, would now be cursed to slither on his belly and eat dust. This curse is still in effect for the reptilian species to this day. On the invisible demon side, the serpent was cursed to slither in the lowest places in the creation and eat humankind’s spiritual dust all the days of his life. The demons know their end will be the lake of fire. But before they get there, the demons are cursed to eat the yuck that surfaces when you are acting in agreement with your fleshly desires. Since demons do not die, they have been eating human dust dust for a long time.

So, what is this dust they are cursed to eat? You can find a clue to this puzzle a few verses later when God curses the man.

“…In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.” (Genesis 3:19)

Adam was made from dust in the physical realm and God said he would return there. It was your flesh that was made out of dust. So the actions of the flesh to gratify the lusts of the body is the spiritual dust that the demons have a right to eat. This means whenever or wherever your flesh surfaces the demons are commanded to eat.

When you choose to respond to the feelings of anger that lead to hate for your brother or sister, the demons will eat it and entice you to take it one step further, to murder. When you are over come with the feelings of bitterness and envy for someone who you believe has more stuff and more favor than you, the demons will come to eat and entice you to devise a plan to take what they have and destroy them. When you feel the desire for sexual gratification in your body and you begin to give yourself to fulfilling them in an unlawful way, the demons will come to eat and entice you to go further into adultery and perversion. This is eloquently stated in proverbs 9.

“A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knows nothing. For she sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, To call passengers who go right on their ways: Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wants understanding, she saith to him, Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. But he knows not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.” (Proverbs 9:13-18)

The end of these temptations and enticements will be destruction and demonic oppression. There are more desires of the flesh that I could name here, but the action to gratify your flesh will draw flies (demons), just like the waste of your flesh draws flies (demons). God pronounced this curse as a law in the creation and it will be in effect until the end of time.

The purpose of demons is to eat the flesh when it surfaces in your life. God’s design and intention is for you to experience grace and peace through the full knowledge of God. Jesus Christ has given us all things that are relevant for life and godliness. This promise comes by faith, but there is another choice you can make. You can choose the corruption that is in the world through lusts. God does not keep you in the dark about the works of the flesh, he gives you a couple of lists so that you can know what this flesh or dust looks like.

The Works of the Flesh

When you choose the following sins, demons will smell it and come to eat.

The first list is in Galatians 5:17-21:

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The second list that compares the actions of the flesh compared to the actions of the Spirit, and shows what the dust looks like that the demons are cursed to eat is Ephesians 5:1-5:

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as become saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whore-monger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. (Ephesians 5:1-5)

The knowledge of God is the ultimate knowledge. However, you are living in a society that has cast off the knowledge of God, the laws of God and the desire to even know him. The American society treats God as a righteous plague that will corrupt their legal system and infuse out-dated morals that are not relevant for our civilization. What you choose to meditate on and focus on will set the stage for your experience. The heart draws to itself what it chooses to believe. The Lord said, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.”

One Story of Freedom

One day a young needed help. He was abused as a young child by his cousin and his parents did not believe him. This breach of trust caused a chasm of offense between him and his parents. His cousin, about ten years his senior, would scare him, abuse him mentally, physically and sexually, and cause him great hurt. The smashed feelings, the deep disappointment, and the frayed emotions, layered with trauma and distress compounded the helpless brokenness he experienced. When his parents were going out on the town, they would trust his babysitting to his cousin. He would pitch a temper tantrum at the door, trying to get their attention to rescue him. They would not listen but rebuked him harshly.

As a choice, he judged his parents as untrustworthy, began to hate his parents, rebelled against everything that was remotely like them, and sought drugs to help manage the pain in his soul. Somewhere along the way he picked up a number of demonic leaches and believed the lie that they would “help” protect him. Finally the abuse stopped, but the damage to his soul had already been done. What he needed now was deliverance and healing. Eighteen years of running away from and covering the emotional pain with every drug you can imagine, until the demon had eaten almost every ounce of flesh left in him. But Jesus Christ met him and restored him to life again. Now his life is healed and he walks free. If you want to be free from the torment of demons; the cleansing of the blood of Jesus, the authority of the word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit will set you free. You will have to place your complete confidence and faith in Jesus Christ.

This is the key for your victory. You are living in a physical body as an eternal spiritual being. As a result, the world will never be enough. You need God and the power of his Holy Spirit to fill you. Make you choice today. You can live in the Spirit. Trust him. Depend on him. Love him. Worship him. As you live your life in relationship with God, your behavior will change and your heart will be filled with love.
